Beatrice A.M. Boggio-Robutti
PhD Student
Beatrice is a PhD student in Chemical Engineering, currently working under the supervision of Prof. Alex Routh and in collaboration with Infineum UK.
Her research is focused on sustainable engineering, investigating innovative organic friction modifier systems designed to reduce friction, wear, and emissions in passenger car engines. She specialises in colloidal systems, with a particular focus on neutron-mediated analysis, surface science, and tribology.
Prior to her PhD, Beatrice earned an MChem (Hons) degree in Chemistry from the University of Edinburgh, where she also completed an industrial placement at Infineum UK. Her academic background includes a strong emphasis on materials chemistry and sustainable chemistry.
