Professor Routh awarded the Thomas Graham Lecture

Professor Alex Routh has recently been awarded the Thomas Graham Lecture.

The Graham Lecture is awarded to researchers working in the UK, who are in the prime of their research careers, have established an international reputation in colloid science, and have already made distinguished contributions to the field of colloid science.

On Tuesday 1st April, an event was held in London, attended by Alex’s colleagues as well as former and current students. Among the speakers who gave talks during the day, some worked with professor Routh at IEEF in the past, including Dr Tom McCoy, who is now an assistant professor at the University of Delft, and Dr Clare Rees-Zimmerman, who is a Junior Research Fellow in Oxford. Dr Bob Groves and Sheila Bhatt, who are currently doing research at the Institute, presented their recent work on latex gloves and drying blood droplets.

Congratulations Alex!
